Common Tasks Explained

Content Updates

This usually falls into one of two buckets: you have a blog post that needs to be added to your website or there is a change that needs to be made to a page. This can be as simple as a word change or a new paragraph or replacing an image. The content-related tasks can be found in the left column in the form above.

Add Functionality

If the website needs to do something new, describe what you are trying to accomplish in as much detail as you can in the form. One way to do this is to describe how a visitor would interact with the website, what information they need to find, etc.. A content specialist will let you know the cost once we have determined the requirements.

Site Refresh

Every few years you will want to freshen up your website. For example, the copy and images need to be brought up to date, a product or service area needs to be added or removed, or something else. Select Other in the form above and describe what you wish to accomplish. A content specialist will provide an estimate for your approval.

Something’s Broken

A website is software and software breaks. It happens. If something isn’t working as you expect or appears to be functioning strangely or it just seems odd, please let us know so that we can either explain what’s going on or fix the problem.

  • How do I log into my website?

    You can access the login page by putting this address into your browser: https://yourdomainname.com/wp-admin.

    You will need your user name and password. This was provided when your website was built.

    You can reset your password by selecting the “Lost your password?” link.

  • How do I edit a page?

    A page has four parts. The Header, this is common across the website, the Hero, the Body, and the Footer, also common across the website.

    When you edit a page, you will be editing the Hero and the Body. You should be able to edit simple things, but of course, you can use the support form on this page to send us your changes. We would be happy to help.

  • How do I manage a blog post?

    Manging blog posts will be described in the following videos. The first shows you how to login, find the blog posts, and then covers high-level settings.

    The next video introduces you to Gutenberg editor basics. With this information, you can create a new blog post or edit an existing post.

    The final video shows you how to set your post up so that it can exist within the website.

  • How do I add a user?

    Adding a user to your website involves a few steps:

    1. Log into the dashboard
    2. Look for Users halfway down the left navigation
    3. Select, Add User
    4. Give them a user name, enter their email address and assign a user role
